Name Number Calculation
Explanations for the functions on the Numerology page:
For calculating a name number, or more exactly a Pythagorean name number (there are several different schemes of calculating such numbers in use) you take the letters of your name and assign a number from 1 to 9 to each, according to the following table:

Then you sum all the numbers and sum the digits again until you arrive at a number between 1 and 9 or 11 or 22 - your name number.
Numerology claims that this number can tell something about you, your character and your personal attributes, e.g. by some mysterious influence that your name given to you at birth and its number had on you. You find info about the "meaning" of the different numbers e.g. here, here, here and here. (If those websites seem to contradict each other in part, don't worry, it's fun, remember?)
Below is yet another translation of name numbers to "meanings" copied from some defunct numerology website a few years ago that is used here because the meanings are suitably short and seem suitably distinct:
