How To Use The Name Guru

The NameGuru is a so-called chatbot: You can write questions and statements in English, it tries to understand what you write, and then answers you. Of course the program does not really "understand" what you write, but attempts to keep the illusion that it does, while trying to be funny and entertaining.

The Name Guru only really knows about how to answer questions about given names, and for doing so it consults the same database with info about more than 10'000 names that is behind the other parts of this website.

You can ask something about names in plain English, or with shortcuts like e.g. typing only a single given name to get its info.

Please note that the Name Guru is not able to directly advice you when it comes to choosing a name. In general, do not expect too much - the chatbot is not very clever, not yet anyway.
